Meisner with Scripts

Course Details

Meisner with Scripts has been designed as a companion to the LAAC Groups, but is open to anyone who has done intermediate acting courses or has previous experience of the Meisner Technique - a practice that encourages you to playfully discover fresh moments with your fellow actors rather than stick to an intellectual interpretation of a text. This particular course will gradually introduce script work into the technique to give you an embodied experience of deeper connection with yourself and your partner while trusting and following your emotional impulses throughout the scene. - Discover how Meisner applies to text and electrifies you as an actor - Develop a deeper relationship with yourself and others - Allow yourself to let go of control - Explore what makes you tick - Experience the wild ride of moment-to-moment connection The drama course is spread over 7 weekly sessions of 2 hours each. We keep group sizes small in order for the facilitator to give you a lot of individual feedback to encourage an intimate, friendly, and fun atmosphere in which you can learn and grow.
